Temple Emanuel - A House of Learning

What do Yiddish, an excellent B'nai Mitzvah program, a chocolate seder, a teen trip to New York City, Jewish meditation and Torah study have in common?  They are just some of the educational opportunities offered at Temple Emanuel.

Temple Emanuel is truly a learning congregation, with study opportunities for congregants of all ages and levels of knowledge.  Here are three highlights of our educational offerings.

  • Terrific teaching faculty – Our teachers in the Pre-School, Religious School and Adult Education programs are enthusiastic and knowledgeable.  They bring years of experience and a wide variety of backgrounds to Temple Emanuel.
  • Diverse Offerings – From our adult education program to our family education offerings to electives in our Hebrew High School, there is truly something for everybody.   If there is a topic that you want to study and do not see it offered, please let us know and we can consider offering it in the future.
  • Learning through doing – Being Jewish should be a joyous experience.   From serving meals at Ronald McDonald house to watching and discussing Jewish movies to a family retreat in the Spring, we try to make Jewish learning part of Jewish living.

A house of study, or Bet Hamidrash, is considered more sacred than a House of Prayer, or Bet Hatifillah, in traditional Judaism.  Visit the educational wing at Temple Emanuel often in the coming year.  We look forward to learning with you and from you.
