Union for Reform Judaism
Learning Links

There are many great web-sites for Jewish learning.  Below are a few suggested sites.

Union of Reform Judaism

For a great overview of the weekly portion, a Torah interpretation, calendar of portions, and Torah discussions for families, check out the Union of Reform Judaism's Torah Study web pages.

Parents of young children will find the resources on Union of Reform Judaism's Early Childhood pages very interesting and useful.  It includes bedtime rituals, suggestions for Shabbat and holidays, book recommendations and other great ideas.

The Union of Reform Judaism has a lot of other great learning resources for adults, families and parents.  Included is background information on the holidays, lists of recommended book and a glossary of Jewish terms.   Go do the general learning page of the Union of Reform Judaism for additional links.

General Jewish Information

The Jewish Virtual is the most comprehensive online Jewish encyclopedia in the world, covering everything from anti-Semitism to Zionism. So far, more than 13,000 articles and 6,000 photographs and maps have been integrated into the site.  Visit The Jewish Virtual Library for information on almost any Jewish Topic.

Israeli Newspapers

Some Israeli Newspapers each have English language web-sites.   Here are a couple of good links:

Haaretz

Jerusalem Post

Social Action

The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism maintains a very extensive web-site with information on a wide variety of social action and political topics, including action alerts, background on legislative, Jewish views on contemporary topics and links to legislators.

Colleges

The Hillel web-site contains a search engine about Jewish life on different colleges.  It can be very helpful in a college search.

Jewish Family Life

The web-site Jewish Family & Life contains all sorts of information, ideas and essays for Jewish families.

Ritual

The web-site RitualWell has compiled an extensive selection of modern, often feminist, rituals, prayers, and essays for life cycle events and holidays.

Jewish Teens

The Reform Movement's Youth Group NFTY has an excellent site full of information about youth grouping and Jewish life.

The site JVibe includes information and articles for teens on a wide range of topic.  This is the online version of JVibe magazine for teens.
