Youth Groups at Temple Emanuel are truly outstanding!!
There is a Youth Group for every student, from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
All of our children are strongly encouraged to participate in monthly social, social
action, and religious events. Each of these contains a Jewish component that enhances
a love of Judaism and fosters a strong connection with Temple Emanuel.
  
TEFTY JUNIOR, Grades 6,7, and 8
TEFTY Junior (Temple Emanuel Federation of Temple Youth,TEFTY), stresses the importanceof caring, sharing, and participating in a Jewish life. Our Junior Youth Group encourages all of our pre-teens and teens to become dedicated and active members of our synagogue. Each month presents social events and social action activities. Performing acts of mitzvot and tikkun olam, healing our world, creates a strong Jewish foundation for our youth. When our teens have fun and make new friends in a Temple setting, each develops his/her own growing Jewish identity.
TEFTY SENIOR, High School Students, grades 9-12
Temple Emanuel Federation of Temple Youth, TEFTY, is a strong, active branch of Temple Emanuel. Our teens support their synagogue, their community,and their world, including Israel. TEFTY is led by a dedicated executive board of
officers. Monthly activities include two special Youth Group Shabbat services and family dinners, bake sales, and an awesome Purim Carnival. Rock climbing, ice skating....social events are always vibrant and exciting.
 TEFTY is part of our Reform movement’s regional youth group, NFTY-PAR, Pennsylvania Region. NFTY-PAR offers six annual conventions where our teens meet over one-hundred peers to live Jewishly and learn effectively how to be leaders and helpers.
TEFTY enriches the lives of all teens who participate in the myriad of events and projects, services and programs. Awareness and commitment form the foundation for our future leaders. Flyers will be sent for each month’s activities; please note the dates and plan to participate.
