Men's Club

National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods Logo The Temple Emanuel Men's Club is a member of N.F.T.B. (National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods) and meets on a regular monthly basis. Men's Club plays an important role in supporting the Jewish Chautauqua Society, a project of the N.F.T.B. which provides a myriad of services, speakers, publications and important tools to the non-Jewish world explaining Judaism and helping to reduce anti-Semitism. You can read our Constitution and By-Laws.

Men's Club Sunday Brunch, September 11th

Rabbi Jerome P. David makes a point during the Men's Club's Sunday Brunch. Rabbi David briefed the Men's Club on Reform Judaism's Hurricane Katrina relief activities. Men's Club President Steve Ehrlich followed with a review of home disaster preparedness tips.
Meanwhile, members of the Temple Emanuel Federation of Temple Youth (TEFTY, foreground) and the Social Action Committee (background) raised money for Hurricane victims with a bake sale and sales of gift cards to national retailers, for delivery to evacuees.

We also attend major league and minor league baseball games as a group, and enjoy our annual father - child bowling tournament. Such social events strengthen our families by bringing together fathers and their children to share good times.

Our Men's Club is the only South Jersey Jewish men's club that participated in all nine of the sports tournaments run by the Jewish Athletic League (JAG) this past year, as well as the JAG softball league where we recaptured the championship. Sports are an excellent outlet for our members to experience much-needed camaraderie and plenty of old-fashioned male bonding.
